Obviously Tamora Pierce is one of my favorite authors. So far, she has written 15 books and 2 short stories about the magical land of Tortall, and 9 novels (and 1 new audiobook) set in a place called Emelan. Her characters are memorable and loveable, and therefore very fun to doll.
Here, also from "Song of the Lioness" are Buriram Tourakom, Alanna the Lioness, and Thayet jian Wilima. They are dressed in the clothes described in "Lioness Rampant. This was my very first attempt at using a DHF base.
Here's another version of the Thayet doll to the immediate left. I was trying a new shading technique which I am much pleased with.

And then we have the Circle of Magic gang: Briar, Sandry, Daja, and Tris. I am so pleased with the way this one turned out. It took a good long time, but the shading on Daja's tunic was worth it.

Owen of Jesslaw(Page) and his wife, Margarry of Cavall- Owen is first seen as a ten-year-old page. He like to read, and loves to use the word jolly. He has no tact, something he got from his father. His mother was killed by bandits, and that is what motivates him to be a knight. His wife is never mentioned in the books, but her father is the training master, and then Owen's mentor. Her name was released by the author via messageboard

Keladry of Mindelan- (First Test) Kel's the main character of the Protector of the Small Quartet, as the first girl to train to be a knight since Alanna disguised herself to do so. She faces more discrimination than Alanna did, and she handles it well. Lord Raoul of Goldenlake became her mentor, and Kel learned to 'hit like a hammer' in the joust, which solved a lot of her problems with discrimination.

Eleni Cooper (Alanna, The First Adventure) Eleni is a healer in the city of Corus. She helps young Alanna deal with some girl problems. George Cooper, the then King of Thieves, is her son.

Domitan of Masbolle - (Squire) Dom is a sergeant in a force called The King's Own. He calls his cousin, Neal, "Meathead" for unknown reasons. Dom is most likely going to be Kel's love interest.

Nealan of Queenscove (First Test) and Yukimi noh Diaomoru (Squire)- Neal is described as being the kind of person who could make you want to punch him just for saying hello. He's cocky, especially towards the training master, Lord Wyldon of Cavall. Neal became proficient with his healing Gift at the University, but he left it when his older brother died, and he entered page training. He was 15, five years older than the other pages. He comes to love Yukimi. She is one of Shinkokami's ladies. It was predicted at the end of "Lady Knight" that they will have a daughter who will be a lady knight.

Cythera of Naxen- (Alanna, The First Adventure)- She's first seen as Cythera of Elden in "Song of the Lioness". She went on to marry Gary the younger. There wasn't ever a description of her, so this is completely my own thoughts.

Rosto the Piper and Beka Cooper, from the newest Tortall book, "Terrier." Rosto is a Scanran who comes to Corus and makes himself King of the Rogue. Beka is in the Provost's Guard, a Puppy to the force, as it is her first year. It seems like there will be a Beka/Rosto relationship later in the series.

Josaine (Song of the Lioness) is a princess from the Copper Islands. She went on a murdering binge with a two-headed axe and killed a priest and a talking black cat (Faithful). She was then killed by Faithful's owner, Lady Knight Alanna of Trebond. Don't mess with the cat!

These four are from Tamora Pierce's "Circle of Magic" Quartet. Their names (L to R) are Trisana Chandler, Daja Kisubo, Briar Moss, and Sandrilene fa Toren. I am proud of them, especially Briar's "Shakkan" (the tree).

These two dolls are inspired by the cover art of their books. The first is Keladry of Mindelan from the cover of "Squire." I made her griffin myself! The second is Alanna from the old paperback version of "In the Hand of the Goddess." Faithful is perched on her shoulders.
